Scarpa has used Carbon Grilamid® LFT for the shell and shaft. This carbon-reinforced polymer is extremely light but durable, rigid and strong.
The shaft of the Alien 1.0 is hand-laid with a carbon fiber polymer that is incredibly light yet stiff for efficient energy transfer when skiing.
The Speed ​​Lock Lite ski step mechanism is integrated with the cuff closure via a Dyneema® cord, for quick, single-action transitions.
