The Z-2 HD (Heavy Duty) is a Three-Layer GORE-TEX® PRO Shell jacket built for the demanding alpine environment. During the development of this jacket, many different versions and details were extensively tested and improved upon by our own staff, including Marcel Hirscher, as well as outside expert skiers. So now we are sure this is going to be the new favourite for the demanding skier, with its perfect fit and excellent skiability.
We have chosen a hard wearing, rugged 80 denier GORE-TEX® PRO fabric that will resist extreme conditions for skiing, snowboarding and ski touring. The Gore technology makes it durably waterproof, completely windproof, and extremely breathable. This updated version of the jacket features Cohaesive cord stoppers and a detachable snow skirt.
This is a highly functional shell jacket, built for layering to accommodate to all conditions and temperatures. Use the outer shell for warm weather or combine it with a heavy insulated mid-layer like our D-2 or D-3 down jackets and you have a perfect cold weather jacket. Or use it with a technical mid-layer or thin jersey like our M-4 or M-5, and you are all set for normal weather skiing, or any other outdoor activity.
True to our philosophy, this is a jacket that not only is an excellent ski jacket, but an excellent jacket for most outdoor activities 365 days a year.
