The Ortles Medium 3 down jacket is the latest evolution of our warm insulating garment designed for mountaineering. It offers the warmth of a duvet with minimal volume, ideal both as an insulating mid-layer or as an outer garment. Its 90/10 duck down filling with a Responsible Down Standard of 750 cuin, along with the hybrid insulating inserts TirolWool® Responsive, are strategically placed to provide the necessary warmth in every part of the body. Even in wet conditions, TirolWool® Responsive retains heat, which is why it is used in the hood, shoulders, and cuffs. The outer ripstop nylon fabric is lightweight, abrasion-resistant, and perfect for alpine use. The jacket features an adjustable hood and a high collar for maximum storm protection, as well as an ergonomic design in sleeves and shoulders that prevents hems from lifting when climbing. It can be stored in its own integrated pack-it pocket and has a two-way front zipper for greater adaptability, allowing access to a harness and anchoring devices. This medium-thick jacket prioritizes low weight and compressibility.
