Its slightly more curved and shorter design than the straight-shaft Alpine-X ice axe, along with its ergonomic head, makes it especially comfortable to hold in hand, providing secure support during ascents and descents. The strong and aggressive steel blade offers improved penetration on steep ridges or ice, while the sharp and replaceable carbide tip at the bottom of the shaft ensures better contact when moving over hard snow or ice. This version includes a nut-shaped hammer, adding additional functionality.
