Sport climbing guide to the province of Tarragona, including the climbing schools of La Riba, Els Cogullons, El Penitent, Mont-Ral, La Mussara, Vilanova de Prades, Siurana, Arbolí, Montsant, and Margalef. Published in three languages (English, Spanish, and Catalan) and written by Pete O'Donovan and climber Dani Andrada, it presents some of the largest areas (for example, Siurana) divided into different "sub-areas" to simplify explanations on how to reach the different sections.
Each climbing area listed in the guide has an introduction that provides information on the type of climbing, best time of year, and approaches. Maps and panoramic photographs provide general information on how to approach the area. For those with GPS, the WGS 84 parking coordinates are also provided.
Information about the sections—orientation, approach time, difficulty, and steepness of the wall—is indicated by a pictogram. Most routes are drawn in the photographic sketches, and lines of different colors have been used. The routes are listed in tables showing the number (as they appear on the sketch), name, length in meters, and difficulty (French grading). Information on route connections and combinations is included, as well as a box for marking linked routes.
