The Black Diamond Distance 15L Backpack combines race vest technology with intimate knowledge of alpine pack systems. The gear you need while being lightweight and comfortable enough to move at a fast speed. Constructed from UHMWP 10x Ripstop yarns, a fabric 10 times stronger than steel by weight, while remaining so light it floats on water. The shoulder strap harness system uses Sting-less Edge Taping technology, which means the shoulder strap edge junction is fully stitched rather than stitched, allowing for greater comfort, movement and reduced of weight . Additionally, it is built with a bungee cord adjustable lateral compression system, providing a more secure ride while running and climbing. This vest-style system also includes two flask pockets that fit two BD HydraPak SoftFlasks (sold separately) and a deployment pocket. It features a blitz-style quick-open main opening with a stash pocket to store essentials, while a mesh divider wall can store cordelette or a water bladder that can be integrated as a hydration system. On the outside, it includes two ice ax/ice ax sheaths and two sleeves to store your trekking poles when the terrain changes. The two elasticated front pockets are an additional place to store nutrition or equipment.
